Join us in our private clinic twice a week for a session with your personal trainer. Your programme will be tailored specifically towards you and your goals.
In the first week we will take a look at your medical history and assess your fitness levels, taking into account any injuries or conditions you have.
Next, we work with you to decide on some personal goals that we will look to hit through the 12 weeks.
In weeks 2-6 we start building healthy habits through simple step-by-step exercise routines that suit your goals. This could include daily walking targets, regular swimming etc.
We will work with you to develop your fundamental movements, introducing exercises that strengthen the areas of our body that we use on a daily basis, such as our back for bending down and our picking up.
Through the second half of the programme, we will build on the exercises we developed in the first 6 weeks. We will continue strengthening the essential areas of our body and integrate these exercises into our daily routine.
Additionally, we will provide personalised guidance on healthy eating and age management.
Once you have completed your 12-week Independence Programme, there are 3 options we suggest:
The 12-week duration is optimal for achieving significant, sustainable improvements in fitness and mobility. It allows enough time to establish healthy habits and see measurable progress.
While it is highly recommended to complete the entire programme to gain full benefits, we can discuss alternative options if the full duration is a concern.
The programme is specifically tailored for individuals over 65. However, we offer other fitness and physiotherapy services that might suit your needs, regardless of your age or condition.
Before starting the programme, we conduct a thorough medical screening to ensure it's safe for you. We may recommend that you work with our Physiotherapist if there were medical conditions that required treatment.
This programme is designed for 1:1 sessions to provide personalised attention. However, we do offer over 65’s group classes that provide an opportunity for clients to exercise together.
Call us today to discuss whether this programme is for you. We may ask you some questions regarding your health and we may be required to triage with your GP.
